Difference between leather, eco-leather and imitation leather

Good morning from Julia and the Julia Art staff, I think it is important to explain to you what differences there are between leather, eco-leather and imitation leather, in the Julia Art jacket collection, we only use natural leathers tanned with natural products, therefore we are in the eco-leather sector which differs from natural leather only for the type of tanning. Both natural leather and eco-leather derive from animals, the very similar name might lead one to think that eco-leather is not of animal origin, but this is not the case. Leather/eco leather is a very high quality product, breathable, very resistant, has very high hygienic characteristics, is soft, warm and pleasant to the touch.

Imitation leather is a completely synthetic product deriving from the processing of polyurethane, the process consists of spreading a layer of PU on a cotton cloth. The imitation leather is not soft and not hot, it tends to flake over time, the product is economical and costs little.
