I’m Julia
Let me introduce myself, and I’m happy to share with you my passions and my work, and if you want, many other things too. I was born in the 80s in South Africa, in a place worthy of a Hemingway novel “where two oceans meet”, more precisely at Cape Agulhas, three hours’ drive from Cape Town, for those less familiar with the geography of those places, the oceans are the Indian and Atlantic. I lived there with my family until I was 13, then we moved for two years to London, a city that I adore, and then to Venice, where for work reasons we often went to Timisoara. This “nice coming and going” still persists, given that the family is in Venice, but the business headquarters is in Timis.
I attended a strictly classical high school by choice and passion, and a Catholic one by choice of my family. I graduated with top marks, but my passion for classical disciplines soon vanished, since family business “required” that I study “international economics”, all in all it wasn’t a great trauma, I like studying and I didn’t struggle to graduate with honors now, but only on a hobby level, I’m studying for a second degree. The wonderful world of study was often interspersed with the frequent business trips I made with my father, thanks to him I visited many places and met many people.
Once the “rosy” period of university was over, I entered the family business directly with increasingly more responsible tasks, until I became its boss. I think I can say that I am an expert in the furniture sector, with an excellent knowledge of woods, fabrics, leathers, paints and painting techniques. Having many craftsmen who expertly work with hides and leather, in addition to furnishings, we also have a production, based on our own design, of leather goods and leather clothing, in particular jackets, all strictly in first choice natural leather and handcrafted production of great value. In addition to work, which as you will have understood, takes up most of my time, I clearly have a passion for the Vintage world, but I also love horses, mine is an Arab named Eros, with whom I go on splendid walks together with my faithful English greyhound Emy.
A person dear to me, who supports me in my work, is my brother Felipe, a few years younger than me, a great technician and expert in processing, especially prints. Felipe has two great passions, one is women, he is perpetually in love, but his main characteristic is the ability to “piss off” our father, on this thing no one beats him, practically, taking up the initial part of my autobiography, they are like the Indian Ocean colliding with the Atlantic Ocean, the strange thing is that they think the same about almost all things, but despite everything, they argue. Last person in my family, but no less important is my mother, a great reader, a person of great culture, a practicing Catholic, a generous, calm and wise person.
Of course, now I have to talk about my love life, I’m single by choice, with all the advantages and disadvantages that come with it, I really like my social life, friends, and parties. As a person, I think I can define myself as generous and helpful, I help others a lot, but in a direct way, if someone needs a hand, I help them directly, often together with my brother, even financially if necessary.
